Gavin to appear as Guest Soloist
Gavin has been asked to be the Guest Soloist at the Dinas Powys Festival on Saturday 27th June at 7.30pm. The programme will include:

Kopanitsa recorded by Gavin & the Cory Band
Andrew Baker's fantastic percussion solo 'Kopanitsa' has now been released on CD by the Cory Band. Gavin has been playing the piece in concerts with the band and it has gone down a storm. Lets hope the recording will be as popular! The CD is called 'Enter the Galaxies' and is one sale through the band or through World of Brass.
Gavin is a European Champion again
After winning the European Brass Band Championships 6 times in a row with the Yorkshire Building Society Brass Band, Gavin has tasted success yet again at the competition this time winning at his first attempt with the Cory Band is Oostende, Belgium.
Kopanitsa gets it's first performance outside of mainland UK
On Saturday 7th, Gavin and the Cory Band performed as part of a concert, Andrew Baker's percussion solo, Kopanitsa. This time it was a bit of an occasion as it was the first time it has been performed outside of mainland UK - namely in Strabane, Northern Ireland. There was great positive feedback from the audience, and it even looks like Gavin and the Band will be recording it later in the year. Watch this space!
